Privacy policy

We collect as little as the site can run on. No account is needed to read anything here.

What we collect

• Page views. Our server records the page, the time, the referring page and technical details such as screen size and time zone. This tells us which guides are read.
• Download counts. We count how many times the file is requested. The counter is a single number. It is not linked to a person.
• Reviews you send. The name you type, your rating and your text. Nothing else.
• A like signal. If you press the helpful button we store a one-way hash of your address and browser so the same visitor is not counted twice.

What we do not collect

No account. No password. No payment data. No card number. No copy of your ID. If a page ever asks you for those, it is not this site.

Why we hold it

To see which pages are read, to stop the same person voting twice, and to publish reader reviews. Nothing here is sold.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf. Google Fonts serves the two typefaces used on the site. No advertising network runs on these pages.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then dropped. Reviews stay until you ask us to remove yours. Counters are totals and hold nothing personal.

Your rights

Write to [email protected]. Ask for a copy of what we hold on you. Ask for a correction. Ask for a deletion. We answer within a month.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly hold any data about a person under 18.
