Strange Frequencies Radio Interview Added to Audio Page

by Paul Robinson on Dec.30, 2008, under Nick Redfern, Web Site News

Yes! We now have another audio interview with Nick Redfern courtesy of the guys at Strange Frequencies Radio. My thanks go out to Jason for his help with the audio and a little advice on my own paranormal questions. So, here’s a bit about their site…

Join Phase 3 Paranormal founders Bobby Nelson and Jason Korbus as they, alongside Matthew McGuire, discuss the world of the unknown. From ghosts and hauntings, cryptozoology and psychic phenomenon to myths, legends and conspiracy theories, this show leaves no stone unturned as they seek the truth behind the stories.

With renowned investigators, research teams, and the witnesses themselves serving as guests, Strange Frequencies Radio promises to be an opinionated, informative, and fun program for anyone with a hunger for the unexplained.

We here at Strange Frequencies Radio have a lifetime of interest in the paranormal and the world of the bizarre. And, on top of that, we want to uncover the truth behind the stories and opinions. We could use your help in making that happen. Have you had an encounter you would like to discuss? Do you believe you have the answers to a particular unexplained mystery? Or perhaps you have your own questions about paranormal research and investigation, or for the other guests on our show?

Whatever it is, we’re here and ready to listen.
Email us at StrangeFrequenciesRadio@live.com and tell us what is on your mind.

The audio file on this site only accounts for about 50% of the original radio show. So, head on over to Strange Frequencies Radio and check out what is a highly entertaining yet serious approach to the paranormal in general.

Cheers lads!

New Audio Page Added Courtesy of Tim Binnall

by Paul Robinson on Dec.27, 2008, under Nick Redfern, Web Site News

New to the Nick Redfern web site, we now have the beginnings of an ‘Audio‘ page, added to the ‘Multimedia’ section. This comes courtesy of Tim Binnall.

Despite only having three files thus far this, none the less, amounts to an incredible 4+ hours of interview time. Click here for more of Tim’s interviews.

The following is Tim’s bio…

Tim Binnall is the founder of the esoteric think tank binnall of america (BoA), an online coterie that features both a weekly audio program and a talented staff of writers, a number of which have gone on to gain prominence writing for national paranormal magazines. He is the host and producer of the critically acclaimed BoA:Audio, one of the premiere podcasts in the paranormal genre. Over the last three years, Binnall has interviewed a vast number of researchers, spanning a wide spectrum of disciplines and ranging from bonafide esoteric icons to up-and-coming future players in the paranormal milieu.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Binnall maintains a detached view of the paranormal world, while possessing a keen interest in the personalities and sociology of esoteric studies. He has written for Coast to Coast AM’s After Dark newsletter, explored the Bridgewater Triangle, Oak Island, and the haunted Whaley House, made numerous appearances on various paranormal radio programs, and is currently working on a number of future esoteric projects.

An Actual Introduction…

by Paul Robinson on Dec.09, 2008, under Nick Redfern, Web Site News

After some considerable messing around with Nick’s site, I think it’s about time I wrote something of substance here!

I have, for a long time, been itching to update the site for Nick. I wanted something far more dynamic. So, finally, I’ve slowly started to figure out the whole blog thing; not just using them but installing, configuring, customizing, managing the database back-end, etc…

I had already created two WordPress blog based sites:

  1. Exopolitics Florida — of which I am Co-Chairman
  2. Barack Obama UFO — in collaboration with Grant Cameron

Those two sites, rather obviously, use the same template. I’m not really good enough to go creating them from scratch at the moment :(

For Nick, however, I wanted something that better suited his work. He is, I think you’ll agree, the ‘Johnny Ramone of the Paranormal’ 8-)

I have known Nick since about 1998. We originally met at the Staffordshire UFO Group (SUFOG). I used to travel up there with our mutual friend — and fellow fan of all things strange and conspiratorial –Tracie Austin-Peters. Now, I don’t take to anyone too quickly, but it stuck me instantly that our boy Redfern was and is ‘top bloke’! For anyone who hasn’t met Nick in person… you couldn’t hope to meet a more decent guy.

A couple of years passed and I had taken the rather brave decision — for me at least — to move ‘State Side’ and get married. Indeed, it came as a bit of shock to Tracie and, I suspect, probably to Nick also… they are both aware of my quiet demeanor.

Now, it came as a shock to me, somewhat later on, to find that not only Tracie had moved to the U.S. to get married, but Nick also. And I’d like to think I started a trend there, somehow

Tracie now has her TV talk show, Let’s Talk Paranormal. Nick, as you know, is a prolific author and, suffice it to say, busy beyond words with his work. I am still struggling to make a difference. I help where I can, where I am able. And so, knowing enough about web stuff to get me a less than average income, I try to ’spread the UFO-logical word’. I have my own presentation, which probably won’t take off. And I’m an OK writer… who just hasn’t found a niche.

So, once again, welcome to Nick Redfern’s new-look site, buy his books (!!), follow his adventures, live vicariously if you wish, and if you happen to be one of Nick’s fellow bloggers and friends — you know who you are!! — then sign up, let me know that you want to post blog entries, and let’s get this show on the road!

Cheers!
Paul Robinson
